About Gazar Studio

Gazar Studio began with a pottery class and a curiosity about what could be made from clay. We were drawn to the wheel, the physical process of shaping a form and the fact that clay rarely behaves exactly as expected.

Today, we create ceramic lighting, vessels, objects and occasional pieces of furniture. Our ideas often begin with a simple silhouette that we continue to shape and adjust until the proportions feel right.

Many of our pieces stay with us for a while before they become part of the collection. Living with them and seeing how they feel in a room helps us notice things that cannot always be understood from a drawing or photograph.

We produce in small quantities and develop selected pieces to order for private homes and professional projects. Variations in glaze, surface and firing remain visible because they are a natural part of the material and give each object its individual character.
